December Daily 2011 - Album

I finally finished my DD album - just in time. This was a new experience for me as I painted, stamped, glazed, re-stamped, reglazed, painted the back, stamped...etc, etc. It's not as crisp and clean as I would've liked, but I tried to make it work, and overall I'm pretty happy with the results.

I used Ali Edwards' 25 moments stamp and colored in the 25 with a sharpie.

I did the same with the back only I reversed the colors.

I'm hoping to not get behind this year while doing this project. Last year I wasn't as prepared -- I waited until the last minute and scrapped everyday -- needless to say, I got a little burned out and didn't finish until March (I did take January and February off though)!
This year I have high hopes of staying on track and finishing it up by early January.
The count down begins.....

December Daily 2011 - Foundation Pages

Hi and Welcome!

This is my first blog post and I'm so excited to share with you a few of the foundation pages for my 2011 December Daily. This project, pioneered by the ever-so-awesome Ali Edwards,  entails capturing and  recording daily activities, events, thoughts and / or feelings during the first 25 days of December.

I liked Ali's layout this year, so I decided to follow her suit using her Overlays ( I used them last year - loved 'em), the transparencies and the trimmed trading card protectors. I used some of the items from Ali's DD kit at Studio Calico and grabbed other stuff from my stash.

The pockets were a great place to use some of my old metal words and Christmas items from Making Memories.

Here I used some old Mailbox Letters from Making Memories

I have to figure out the picture taking still -- my flash was on, but the pics are still dark!
 I'm so glad I got this part done. I forgot how time consuming this could be! For now, I'll put my stash away until December 1st....that is, after I finish decorating the album. I'm not sure what I'll do yet, but I'll post it as soon as I get 'er done.
